At the heart of the Park Badger Redevelopment is a thoughtfully designed pedestrian greenway – a welcoming, walkable connection between The Village on Park and Madison College’s Goodman South Campus. This vibrant corridor offers more than just a path. It’s a new way to move through and experience the neighborhood.
Phase One of the project brings the first stretch of the greenway to life, running north from Badger Road and weaving between two dynamic new mixed-use buildings – as pictured above. Designed as an alternative to the hustle of South Park Street, this passage offers a calmer, greener experience for students, residents, employees and visitors alike.
More than a route, the greenway is a place to pause, gather, and connect. It will include shaded seating areas, flexible green spaces, semi-private patios for PHMDC and Fire Station staff, and lush landscaping that invites movement and moments of rest. Undulating planting beds, native trees, and ornamental shrubs bring seasonal color and texture to the corridor.
Public art will play a key role in the space, with sculptural installations envisioned as community reflections and welcoming gateways into the development.
